Labrador City man facing child pornography charges

A 45-year-old Labrador City man was arrested on July 16 for four child pornography related charges.

According to a press release from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), the arrest follows an investigation that began in February 2018, with assistance from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Center and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Technical Services Unit.

The male has been charged with two counts of distributing child pornography, one count of possessions of child pornography and one count of making child pornography.

He is in custody and is scheduled to appear in Wabush provincial court on Aug. 20.
