We announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Phyllis Pritchard (Blake Martin) passed away on October 6th, 2012 at the age of 86 at the Long Term Home in Happy Valley, Labrador. Left to mourn husband Bill Pritchard son Jim Martin (wife Tinlaw) daughter Phoebe Frost (husband Terry) six grandchildren, Victor, Phillip, Ted Bonnah, Terri Lynn Frost, Cathy Arnold, Clinton Martin. Six great grandchildren. Sister Jean Crane, large number of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by first husband George Martin, parents Gilbert and Annie Blake and eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral service took place at the United Church in Happy Valley on October 10th, 2012 with Rev Cathy Brett conducting. The eulogy was written and read by her niece Rita Crane Saunders. An acknowledgement was written by her nephew Hougan Hope of Stony Plain Alberta and it was read by Rev Cathy Brett. A poem was written in tribute to her by her grandson Ted Bonnah who lives in Japan. Rev Cathy Brett also read the poem, her granddaughter Cathy Arnold also read a poem. Scripture readings were read by Wanita Whalen niece of Bill Pritchard and Jean Crane sister of Phyllis. The pallbearers were her grandchildren Victor & Phillip Bonnah, Clinton Martin, Cathy Arnold and her nephews Milton Crane & Robert Shiwak Jr. We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at the Long Term Home, to Fillatres Funeral Home and to Rev Cathy Brett. We would also like to thank the United Church women for providing a lunch following the funeral service and to all those who visited, phoned, sent cards messages and flowers. And to those who donated to the Parkinsons Society. Thank you to those who provided accommodations for out of town relatives.
